There is a list of people wanting to buy the best apartments in Milsons Point’s Latitude building – unless, it appears, you are Nicole Kidman who has just purchased privately bypassing any agent or list.
Nicole and her husband Keith Urban already own five apartments in the Mirvac-built Latitude, including the penthouse and its neighbour.
Now the couple have quietly bought a three-bedroom unit on level 15 for $7,725,000.
Agent David Gillan, of Ray White Lower North Shore, has sold units in the sought-after block before and was hoping to have the listing of the just settled three-bedroom unit – the only sale in the block this year.

Instead, the unit owner and coaching college principal Andy Mak sold his Lavender St apartment privately in March to the celebrity couple with the sale settling in April.
“There is a wait list of people wanting to buy into Latitude,” Mr Gillan said.
“I have people who own homes who want to downsize and who are prepared to wait to get into the building … The apartments ending in 02 are the most desirable as they have south and west aspects with views over the city. The block is set back from Luna Park, quiet and predominantly owner occupied,” he added.
The three-bedroom apartments are also spacious with Nicole and Keith’s latest purchase being 190sqm on title.
Nicole and Keith first bought into Latitude in 2009 picking up a penthouse for $6m.
They then continued their spree paying $2.68m for a unit lower down the block. Three more apartments followed, for $7m, $2.78m and last year they paid $1.35m for a one-bedder on level four, believed to be used as a private gym. In all they have spent $27.5m on units in Latitude.
The block started life as a commercial building in the 1970s but was repurposed in 2005 by Mirvac to accommodate 120 residential apartments. The block also has a swimming pool, spa, sauna, and gym for residents to use. Clark Park and Wendy Whiteley’s Secret Garden is next door.
There are no other units to buy in Latitude currently, but you can rent a one-bedroom unit on the fourth floor for $750 a week through Di Jones Lower North Shore.
