Mark Zuckerberg seen with two black eyes after MMA sparring session got a little out of hand

Mark Zuckerberg continues to press ahead with his MMA training.

Talk about the social media billionaire fighting Tesla owner Elon Musk may have died down, but his love for the sport is still going strong.

On Monday, Zuckerberg shared a picture to Instagram that showed him sporting two black eyes and looking worse for wear after a training session went too far.

“Sparring got a little out of hand. May need to update my avatar,” he captioned the post that quickly racked up over 500,000 likes on the platform he owns.

Former ONE Championship middleweight and light heavyweight titleholder Aung La Nsang commented: “Might need to keep your hands up Mark.”

Will Gomis, who is 3-0 since joining the UFC last year, added: “What does not kill you makes you stronger.”

A few bumps and bruises won’t stop Zuckerberg from pursuing his new passion.

The 39-year-old first discovered MMA during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Zuckerberg soon began training in various martial arts before testing his newly acquired skills at a Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament in California earlier this year.

Shockingly, he walked away with two medals from his first competition.

Soon after he was called out for an MMA fight by Musk and they began discussing what UFC CEO Dana White believes would’ve been the biggest event of all time.

UFC stars Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski were drafted in to help Zuckerberg prepare for Musk who began working with MMA legend Georges St-Pierre.

The Meta CEO even built an Octagon in his garden, much to the annoyance of his wife Priscilla Chan who proved she doesn’t share his passion for fighting when they attended a private UFC event together.

Ultimately, Zuckerberg’s MMA debut fell through in August when Musk claimed he needed to undergo surgery before competing.

Zuckerberg is still planning to fight in MMA and based on the intensity of his most recent sparring session, his first bout may come sooner rather than later.
