Good Samitarian bashed on Chapel Street, Melbourne

Police are looking to speak to a group of men after a good samaritan was attacked while trying to stop an assault on a popular nightclub strip.

The chaos unfolded on the corner of Chapel and Victoria streets in Windsor, Melbourne, on Saturday, February 12, when the 37-year-old victim was walking home at 5.50am, police say.

The man told officers he saw a group of males assaulting another man nearby and upon stepping in, was also attacked.

It is alleged the victim was pushed to the ground and kicked to his head multiple times.

The offenders then fled on foot northbound on Chapel Street.

The victim, who’s from St Kilda, was taken to hospital with facial injuries and concussion.

Investigators have released images of four men they believe may be able to assist with their inquires.
